This property is just excellent. It is spotlessly clean and well maintained. The location is perfect if you're looking for somewhere quiet yet just a 5 minute drive away from the hustle and bustle of the tourist hot spots and beautiful sandy beach. There are two tavernas and a cafe that also does food within walking distance. All are excellent and very reasonably priced. A lovely welcome from Platon awaits as he will do all he can to make your stay enjoyable. If you decide to visit Chania old town ask him for his map of Chania and the best places to park and you will save yourself a lot of time. I can't speak more highly of our holiday there, it was just perfect.

To say that our stay here was excellent is truly an understatement. Crete was more than I could have ever dreamed of, and this hotel played a huge part in that. The drive to the hotel is definitely not the easiest drive, but it is so worth it (very windy road up and down the mountain, it is all paved and there are guardrails but very little light at night). Being in the mountains and away from the city was so quiet and relaxing and the town in the area felt so authentic and non-touristy, it was exactly what we were looking for! The staff were so friendly and were always attentive and making sure we had everything we needed. The staff recommended two restaurants (they actually recommended more than two, but we were only able to try 2 of them), and they were the two best meals we had during our 2-week stay in Greece. The hotel was very clean, and the room was excellent, we were actually offered an upgrade upon arrival. The pool was so refreshing, and the bed was extremely comfortable. As for being walkable/drivable, there is a restaurant in walking distance that was amazing. And the town of Sougia is just a short 5–10-minute drive down the road and is 100% worth the short drive. Chania is about 1.5-2-hour drive, and because it is through the mountain it will take every bit of that time and be on a lookout for goats. And Heraklion is about 3.5-4-hour drive. This is in the center of the first block in Old Town. The pace is quiet even though there are a lot of people in the street. There are no cars in the street. And, the walls are stone and with doors closed you can't hear any noise. The place is spotless clean. And, the breakfast is the best I've had any in hotel in over 20 countries! The host was great to anticipate anything that I could think of wanting! I'd come back here just to stay here!

Perhaps the most beautiful place I’ve ever stayed. The views were breathtaking and location was perfect— close to Sougia and Samaria Gorge where we had a beautiful day of hiking. Very romantic for our honeymoon and the staff were beyond kind, generous, and helpful. It was a perfect stay with so much beauty that we will never forget! Highly recommended!!
